National Pie Day!

Key Lime pie I enjoyed in Cuba, November 2019

What do you think of when you hear the word “pie”? A fresh out of the oven cherry or Grandma’s crispy apple? I think of a tart key lime that makes me pucker on the first bite.

I heard it was National Pie Day (1/23) through seeing social media posts with pictures of sweet, fruity pies. One thing I noticed was that there were no photos of pizza pies. Why was that? Could it be because they’re not sweet or no fruit inside? So, I did what any normal person does, I googled “What is a pie”.

Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival 2019

Have you experienced Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival in Disney World? The 2019 event is being held between August 29 and November 23. I ate and drank my way around the World from October 29 – November 2.

This was my 4th year attending, first time solo, and I think it was the best time yet! I like coming to the festival this time of year for several reasons. My seasonal business is finished and I get to decompress, run the Wine & Dine 5k and attend Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom.

So let’s get to ALL. THE. FOOD I enjoyed at this year’s festival!!
